Qld Human Rights Commission vs Jasmine Sussex (9 September 2024)
Within as many months, the Australian court system has seen three cases in which women are defending our sex-based rights as they collide with the introduction of gender identity ideology: Tickle vs Giggle (with the Australian Human Rights Commission intervening on behalf of Tickle); Lesbian Action Group vs the AHRC, and now Qld Human Rights Commission vs Jasmine Sussex. The common denominator is use of Human Rights Commissions to penalise women for standing up for women only-spaces and rights, and for the welfare of children.
AF4WR supports each of these women in their personal efforts to defend the sex-based rights of all Australian women and the best interests of children. We know women will not stop fighting to challenge and overturn the amendments to the Australian Sex Discrimination Act that are allowing these ideological cases to be prosecuted. We urge all Australians to write to Prime Minister Albanese to tell him that they expect the Sex Discrimination Act to work as it was intended and to protect women’s sex-based rights without compromise.
